Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)- The officials in charge of Mogadishu seaport have denied reports say that they’ve added to the tax payments on the payload vehicle work at the seaport.
The acting manager of the seaport Yasin Abdulahi Moha’ed said on Somalia radio that their administration is not involved the tax increase that caused work strike made by the drivers of the vehicles work the harbor.
“This is not for us, it concerns for finance ministries, we are not proper to be asked on this, we carry out on the orders from the government” Mr. Mohamed said.
On Monday the drivers of the delivery vehicles work in the seaport have staged complaint protest in opposition to overtax they allegedly made by the officials of the seaport.
It’s yet unknown how the financial departments of the government will deal with this work strike complaint from the freight cars drivers.
